Deliveroo fined by French court for abusing freelance status of its riders

PARIS (Reuters) – Deliveroo was fined the maximum penalty of 375,000 euros ($404,625) for abusing the freelance status of its riders, a Paris court ruled on Tuesday, in a blow to the British takeaway delivery platform. ($1 = 0.9268 euros)
